The Ten Commandments

The Covenant

“The Ten Commandments; They are the glue that connect God with man through covenant”

In the beginning God wanted man to separate the clean from the unclean, holy from the unholy so he could fellowship with man.

Ps:51-5, Born in sin: Is:64-6 filthy rags Jn:9-31 God don't hear sinners Is:59,1-2 God want you clean Rev:1-5 He washed you in his own blood

God knew man would need help to discipline himself and control his behavior, so he gave man a law to guide him in the way of the Lord, that law is the Ten Commandments.

God gave this law statue and judgments to Israel first to be a model nation to the world.

Ex:20,1-17 they are his first fruits the chosen ones, his wife. Jer:3-14

God made a blood covenant with Israel and gave the Ten Commandments specifically to them, to be a model nation among all other people so they could see how good their God is to them and provoke strangers to have a desire to follow after Israel's God. Deut:4,5-8

Because Israel had Moses for an intercessor, their lives were spared many times until they pushed God to the point of turning them over to their enemy. Even after warning them continually by the prophets day and night, yet they walked in their own ways so God allowed their enemy to over take them. Jer:25,4-12

From Genesis to revelation we will show why it is important to keep the Ten Commandments. Although Jesus brought grace and truth, it did not end the Ten Commandments. Israel has always been under God's grace and were taught nothing but the truth.

In the beginning as we move past Cain, Abel, and Seth, we come to the place where God introduced himself to Abram, and gave him some instructions, to leave his fathers house. Abram obeyed the word of the Lord. Gen;12,1-4 Then God said to Abram in thee all the families of the earth will be blessed.

There are preachers that say, you can't keep the commandments they’re to hard only Jesus did it in the flesh. Yet God testified of Abraham how he keep his charge, statues, commandments, and laws:

Abraham was a natural man as we are along with many others that have kept the Ten Commandments In Gen:26-5 God spoke about Joshua and Caleb, and we can name others.......

The Animal Sacrifice Law

Lev:4,1-3,27-31
v-1 And the Lord spake unto Moses saying, v-2 Speak unto the children of Israel saying, if a soul should sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them
v-3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sins of the people, then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the Lord for a sin offering.

v-27 And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty, v-28 Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. v-29 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.

v-30 And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the alter of burnt offerings, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the alter. v-31 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offering ; and the priest shall burn it upon the alter for a sweet savoir unto the Lord, and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.

In Heb:10,1,4,6-9,12-13
Let us know that the animal sacrifice law was just a shadow of what was to come, it gave us a temporary fix until Jesus was to give his life and shed his blood for the sins of the people.

This law was actually against us why? It could not give you eternal life, it could not keep you from dying, it could not give you salvation. However, God put this law in place to keep from killing man, he killed an animal for the High Priest to make an atonement for man.

Gal:3-24 The animal sacrifice law was our school master to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified by faith. This law was a teacher, it let you know that if you sin something had to die.

(Rom:6-23-the wages of sin is death) and because it was your livestock that was to die, if you continued in sin and had to kill an animal every time you sinned how would your family survive.

This law was also to teach you discipline and to manage your behavior.

The blood covenant
Ex:24:5-8

v-5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD. God cut a blood covenant with Israel.
v-6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
v-7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, all that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
v-8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

From this point Israel was held accountable for the words they spoke to God; All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

Deut:4,5-8

5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Deut:4,12-13

12 And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to performeven ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. With his own fingers

The Ten Commandments: they are God's standard for every man to live by; and if you don't, you live by your carnal mind which is influenced, motivated and driven by Satan the Devil.

Keeping his weekly Sabbath and the High Sabbath feast days identify those that love him. It is the line that separate the real Christian from the fake.

God's dietary law is the standard we eat by Lev;11 chapter

God's feast days reveal to us God's blueprint to salvation. Lev:23 chapter.

How can you tell the real Christian from the fake:

The real Christians keep the law and the seventh day sabbath, the fake Christians don't

Matt:5 17-19

Rom:8-6,7

v-6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
v-7 Because the carnal mind is enmity {or hostile} against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Your carnal mind hate God

So then, they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Why? They hate Him, and will not subject themselves to the law of God: what law? The Ten Commandments.

1Jn:2,3-4

Ps:111,7-10

7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
How important are the Ten Commandments: let's see

What is sin: the transgression of the law

1Jn3-4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

What law? The Ten Commandments

1,The 10 commandments are forever. Ps:111,7-10, Matt:5,17-19
2,You don't know God if you don't keep his commandments 1Jn2,3-4
3, I love them that love me Prov: 8-17..... God don't love everybody
4,You don't love God if you don't keep his commandments Jn;15-14, 21
5,To abide in his love you must keep his commandments Jn:15-10
6,To get eternal life you must keep his commandments Matt:19,16-19
7,1Jn:5-3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments.......
8, Rom;13,8-10 The law of love is keeping his commandments
9, To abide in Grace you must keep his commandments Rom;5,1-2
10,You cannot abide in Grace when sin is in your life. You must confess the sin and God will forgive you. 1Jn:1,8-9

Matt:26,26-28

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

As in the old covenant the blood of a chosen animal confirmed the covenant. Jesus blood confirmed the new covenant the ten commandments, now in your heart and in your mind to all that come under the blood of Jesus through repentance, and receive the promise of eternal life if we endure to the end.

Prov:28-9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Is:1,16-20 Come let us reason together.

As we examine the Jesus Satan is offering, the Jesus Rome gave the world which is the opposite of what God is calling for out of your life, and most of the pastors that call themselves men of God have excepted this false Jesus hook line and sinker.

Rev:18-1,3 all of this is pagan practice full of idolatry, fornication and more observed by most Christian churches, business men and the world today.

Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

The Lord warns his people to come out of her;

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

So we see Satan the Dragon is the power and influence behind the Catholic Church, which all protestant churches follow after their pagan practices.

Every church that have their sabbath day service on Sunday is a worshiper of the Dragon. Satan gave you Sunday, worshiping of the sun god through Constantine, a tradition of men and not of God.

In Matt: 15-3,9 Jesus said when you follow after the traditions of men the Word of God has become of none effect to you.

Eccl:12,13-14

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Stay connected to the Lord by keeping his commandments
